Bric’a’Brac is a company that creates lamps using Vintage objects sourced from antique auctions & stores.

They are a new business idea that started in November 2025 & they came to me asking for a logo & introduction advert for their company. After discussing their vision of the company we decided that they would benefit from having a Brand Identity as the company grows. To start we have been focusing on Logo Design & creating an advert. They wanted a motion graphic advert of their products hand drawn in my style, as they felt it went with the handmade, personal feel that the lamps have. I decided that it would be fun to play around with an idea of ‘turning on a light switch’ to create motion & impact. I used this idea to create the feel of a light being turned on at the start of the video & then text appearing & screen changes. I added in some photographs of the actual products, just as a quick flash of what they are, for the viewer to be able to get an idea & perk their interest to look up the company & find out more. Another aspect the client wanted for the video was to look simplistic & a bit naive, to create an idea of imperfection - they felt that all the adverts these days are so crisp & clean & modern, they wanted something more sketchy and amateur even, to make this advert stand out amongst the current sea of ‘perfect’ adverts. I believe this was a strong move, especially with the use of AI now, our eyes are seeking out human made creations & this advert definitely delivers on that. I will be creating a website for the company also - We are currently in the very early stages & I will update this page as & when the project progresses.
