This was another project set as part of my Graphic Design college course. It was to create the art work for a 7” vinyl Record. I chose the song K-Hole by CocoRosie. I used photography & digital drawing to create my final design. I wanted the Album to be an experience & relate to the song by creating a journey that is like the steps of going in to a K-hole, which is what the song is all about. This song came out back in 2005 and is very reminiscent of the band and their personal experiments with recreational drugs, I wanted to refer back to that time & place & create something truly unique that the user can explore in a healthy way. It also draws the user in to experiencing the tactile touch of a record, everything being digital now the younger generations miss out on this part of what music is & was. This invites a new generation of music lovers to appreciate the joy of having a tangible object they can handle & enjoy.
