misogyny poster series

This is a quick project I did at college looking at using image & text to create a striking, hard hitting & impactful poster campaign. I focused on the issue of misogyny in current society & used historic photography to add emphasis to phrases that are commonly expressed to close down the conversation & shut people up. The most commonly used phrase being ‘NOT ALL MEN’ which a Labor MP in parliament in March 2025. It was writing about in the London Metro saying “Violence against women & girls is at epidemic levels, phrases like ‘not all men’ limit conversations & put men’s interests above the safety of women & girls”. In this poster series I am using the widely seen ‘harmless’ phrases juxtaposed on horrific & terrible movements & actions carried out by men, to amplify how these so called harmless phrases have extreme real life future consequences. It is a visual reminder of what can happen when you excuse and/or downplay male violence or power play.
